THE VILLAGE
Two modest structures placed on a beautiful slice of land in Queenstown, designed for warmth, comfort and a source of income. Designed to Homestar 6 rating, the client and project team are passionate about purposeful design and upcycling materials from the demolished dwelling to achieve a project set to delight.
For Compound, this is an interesting and exciting project for many of its facets. The two new structures on the site have been sequenced in a staged approach, with only a partial demo of an existing structure to allow the client to remain on-site during the construction programme.
Internal living spaces are designed with an exposed Formance SIP panel to the walls and ceiling, providing a look of character and warmth. Windows and outdoor areas connect daily life at The Village with astonishing mountain views.
